Head of African Union to visit Atlanta - - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[Atlanta, Georgia] The Africa Heritage Foundation is scheduled to welcome His Excellency
Dr. Jean Ping to Atlanta April 17-18. Dr. Ping is currently Chairman of the Commission of the
African Union and former President of the 59th General Assembly of the United Nations.

Now on a European tour, Dr. Ping will be among the keynote speakers at the Organization of
American States conference in Washington, D.C. prior to his arrival in Atlanta. During his visit
to Georgia, His Excellency will pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scot King in a
ceremony at the King Center, worship at Ebenezer Baptist Church, dedicate and commission the
Africa world museum exhibition, celebrate Africa and Africa Heritage Diaspora Radio and T.V.
at Clark Atlanta University Studio, visit the CDC and receive a presidential award of honor at
Morehouse College.

The organizer and host, Africa Heritage Foundation, led by Chief Tunde Adetunji is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to elevating and promoting Africa’s image and profile in the United
States since the centennial Olympics 96, through cultural exchanges, economic development,
technology transfer, education, health promotions and preventive initiatives and brain gain
initiatives.

His Excellency Jean Ping’s visit, first of his kind by a top African Union Commission executive,
will among other things endorse the mission and goal of the Africa Heritage Foundation
longtime initiative of bridging the gap and building bridges between the USA and Africa and
bringing to realization the African Union mission of making Diaspora the sixth region of which
the City of Atlanta and the State of Georgia are the gateway of Africa potentials and capacity
building and business opportunities between the United States and Africa. Vision is greater
